Can A Coach Help Your Business?

Hi, AA032266I’m Pam Hamilton, attorney and coach for small and home-based business owners.

I know a lot of people call themselves a coach of some kind or another these days and it’s hard to know who to trust. This is especially true because there is no real accreditation process for becoming a coach. Oh, you can get a certificate from a variety of different organizations, but there are no federal or state laws or guidelines for being a coach. It’s very unlike being, say . . . an attorney, where there are real qualifications required.

And I have them. I have been a business attorney for over 20 years so I know a heck of a lot about business and how to build successful ones.

Look, let’s be honest, picking the right coach takes a bit of time and effort on your part because it’s not just about how they do whatever it is they do, it’s about their approach to business and their life philosophy too. Because, coaching at it’s core is a very personal engagement, it’s a serious commitment. Who they are and why they do what they do matters…

How Can Coaching Help You?

A good business coach lives in the space between consulting, and therapy – it’s not either one of those things but in many ways it’s a little of both. I say that because your coach has to be knowledgeable enough to be able to recognize and diagnose specific issues and systemic problems in your business operations and patient enough to work with you providing questions, feedback, resources and support to help you come up with solutions that truly fit your business. small business finance

 Here are some of the common reasons people have given me
about why they were willing to invest in a good coach:

    • use this asteriskThey are not achieving the success that they anticipated and would like a fresh, non-biased and objective opinion about what they are doing;

    • use this asteriskThey suspect that they may have personal habits, social affects or psychological blocks that are negatively impacting their business and are seeking honest feedback from someone they trust;

    • use this asteriskThey are having difficulty creating and sticking to a plan of action, business plan or goals and holding themselves accountable for executing the plan within their own established time-frames;

    • use this asteriskThey may get “stuck” and vacillate on the soundness of their original idea and may not have the will power to consistently push themselves forward long enough to realize success;

    • use this asteriskworking from home, in a restricted environment, they may need and appreciate a business generalist to bounce their ideas off of, to get an overview of new and innovative happenings in their field, and to get advicdv2171020e and leads for resources.

Do any of these reasons resonate with you?

As your coach, these are some of the things I offer.

Let’s face it, you don’t want or need a consultant to help you with any of those areas. You know your business better than anybody and you already possess everything you need to create the business you’ve envisioned, or you wouldn’t have been able to envision it in the first place. What you need is a coach to help you process your thoughts and ideas, to get focused so you can bring your vision to reality.

What I Offer As Your Coach…

As a business coach I am offering a relationship. I will get to know you and your business and act as an advocate for your success. Someone who can meet you where you are and work with you to help you move forward through whatever blocks are holding you back, and hold you accountable for meeting your goals. And most importantly, do it with both patience and respect.

I’ve been at this for a long time, over two decades now, and I have helped a lot of people build successful small and home-based businesses. So I know what it takes to make it happen. And, I know how to effectively translate whatever information you need for your business in a way that makes sense and helps you implement it effectively.

Are You Ready To Get Started?

A great business coach is the best friend any business can have. A coach will bring out the best you have to offer and help you take your business to the next level faster and more cost effectively, than going it alone simply because they can step outside the day-to-day operation and see objectively. It’s a partnership with the win-win philosophy at its very core.
